Slovakia vs Netherlands

Slovakia were in England’s group and finished second with 18 points, but that was not enough to earn themselves a spot in the playoffs.
The Netherlands had a very turbulent couple of years which eventually led to them missing out altogether on the World Cup.
Danny Blind was dismissed and replaced by Dick Advocaat midway through the campaign and, as a result, the Dutch failed to qualify even for the playoffs, finishing with 19 points but a worse goal difference than Sweden.
Ronald Koeman now has the reins and needs to rebuild this great footballing nation into a force that drove them to the 2010 World Cup final.
Midfielders that miss out are former Manchester City player Vladimir Weiss and Filip Kiss, while forward Marek Bakos has been left home.Ronald Koeman has called upon both youth, mainly coming from the Dutch Eredisivie, coupled with experience in some areas of the field.

A few bigger name players have not been called up included goalkeeper Michel Vorm who is injured, defenders Jeffrey Bruma and Bruno Martins Indi, midfielder Davy Klaassen, whom he signed at Everton last summer for £25 million, and forwards Robin van Persie and Arjen Robben, the latter of which has retired from international football.Regardless of that, they have been in very impressive form especially on their turf and are tipped for victory in this tie at odds of (3.45) with BetKing.
Surely they aren’t this bad? Koeman needs his players to prove that they are still a good side that just went through a chaotic qualification.
It will hurt the World Cup that the Orange army won’t be there and Koeman needs to make sure that this does not happen again.Slovakia will lose their impressive defensive record but they will still remain unbeaten in home friendlies since 2011.

For the Netherlands, a draw would represent progress and help to build some squad unity that they have lacked so much over the last couple of years. Continue reading Slovakia vs Netherlands

Angola vs Mauritius

Angola vs Mauritius

Welcome to Watch Angola vs Mauritius Live Streaming Online Free HD TV CoverageOn Monday, all eyes will fall on Group B as the Cosafa Cup continues to excite Southern Africa audiences.Botswana, Angola, Malawi and Mauritius will all lock horns, knowing that victory will hold them in good stead as they work towards a quarterfinal berth against defending champions Zimbabwe. Botswana and Palancas Negras are arguably the favourites to progress from the group, but the Malawians are not to be written off.Angola vs Mauritius Live.

Nonetheless, in the first of two games to be played on the day, Botswana will hope to open their account early as they take on Angola at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Limpopo. This will be the sixth meeting between the two sides and Angola will be wary that they don’t necessarily have the best of records against Botswana. Angola vs Mauritius Live
The Zebras have won two of their five games, never losing to the Angolans. The most recent encounter between the two teams though ended 1-1 after 90 minutes but Botswana would emerge victorious from the penalty spot.

However, Angola will not be too bothered about history, knowing that they have won the regional tournament three times before. But it is also important to note that both teams may opt to use the clash as preparation for their upcoming Africa Nations Cup qualifier where they will meet again later in the year.

Angola coach Srdjan Vasiljevic has already suggested that he is likely to field a young team, while Botswana on the other end will look to rely on their Township Rollers players who have stunned the continent on their run to the Caf Champions League group stages this season.

Meanwhile, in the day’s other action, former Cosafa Cup runner-up Malawi will do battle with Mauritius. This will be the third meeting between the two sides, with the only victory going the way of Malawi. The clash is again expected to go the way of the Flames, but the island nation may have a few tricks up their sleeves, which could make it an interesting clash on Monday evening.
Seakanyeng slotted in home a penalty in the fifth minute to give Botswana the lead, and Makgantai scored on the stroke of half time to make it 2-0.

However, their shaky defence allowed Angola to come back in the second half as they pulled one through Manha Kaporal in the 58th minute.

The win for Botswana over the Angolans in the tournament takes them to top of the standings as they share the position with Mauritius who beat Malawi – Angola move to the bottom of the log.

In the second match, coach Ronny Van Geneugden led his side in search of a win over the Islanders, yet they failed to hit the ground running.

With Baroka FC attacker Robin Ngalande in the starting line-up, Malawi enjoyed the support but they went into the tunnel trailing.

The encounter also saw an early goal when Damien Balisson got onto the score sheet in the 15th minute with a low shot in what was seen as a move against the run of play.

Despite keeping their counterparts under siege, Malawi were not clinical upfront, but they kept troubling coach Francisco Filho’s men.Malawi had plenty of chances to make it 1-1 through Ngalande and ex-Orlando Pirates striker Chiukepo Msowoya, but the duo fired blanks.

The loss leaves ‘RVG’ and his troops in third position on the log table and Mauritius at number two whilst Botswana lead – they both have three points.

Meanwhile, the Zebras will now turn their focus to the Flames for their next clash on Wednesday whilst the Negras chase a win against Les Dodos on the same day.
